In the event of a nighttime emergency or when operating under adverse conditions such as a blackout within a building, it is advisable to activate your Disaster ID application to facilitate rapid visual identification and location by emergency responders. The color-coding system employed includes:
<ul>
<li>Red — Children</li>
<li>Green — Individuals with Special Needs</li>
<li>Blue — Adults</li>
<li>Yellow — Service Animals or Pets</li>
</ul>
A steady signal indicates that you are safe and okay, while a flashing signal signifies that you require medical assistance.
Consider utilizing the latest version of the Disaster ID application, known as the Visual 911+ app. This application transforms your device’s screen into a visual signaling tool and, provided network connectivity is available, transmits your general GPS coordinates to designated family members or friends via email when you activate an "Alert" status, including your "I'm Safe" notification.
For extended visual signaling duration, consider acquiring the original Everything/Tactical Lights available at TsunamiLights.com. These lights can operate from four to nine days on a solid color setting and from seven to fifteen days on a flashing setting. The device features a lock mechanism to prevent accidental deactivation or modification and includes a memory function that restores the last selected mode after power loss or shock.
